This beautiful ring from the Victorian era (ca1880) has a wonderful, celestial-inspired design! At the center of the piece, which is crafted in 14kt rose gold, are two lovely crescent moons which overlap and intertwine with each other. Lining the surface of one moon is a row of sparkling old Rose Cut diamonds, while the other adorns vibrant rubies, all of which rest in a closed-backed?setting. Set at the points of the ruby crescent is a lustrous pearl and set at the points of the diamond crescent is a single prong set diamond. The rubies?display wonderful, pinkish red hues, their faceted surfaces catching the light for a soft sparkle and the pearl and diamonds are the perfect compliment. Completing the design are?decorative scalloped accents at each shoulder, where the centerpiece meets the band and stamped along the shank is the number "14." A charming?Victorian piece, it would make a special addition to any antique ring collection!
Measurements:?The ring has a finger size of 7.75, but could easily be resized if desired. The centerpiece measures 1/2" wide and 3/8" tall. The band measures 2.5mm wide in the back.?
Condition:?The overall condition of the ring is excellent. Besides normal surface wear, there is no apparent damage to the gold setting. The diamonds, pearl and rubies are all intact and securely set.
